The George Hotel es un establecimiento que tiene unos 300 años y ofrece alojamientos confortables en la ciudad histórica de Battle. Los huéspedes podrán visitar el lugar donde la historia inglesa cambió para siempre y pisar el campo de batalla en el que luchó Guillermo el Conquistador.

The George Hotel fue fundado en 1699, aunque hubo una posada en el mismo lugar durante más de 600 años. Anteriormente, el edificio del George fue la sede del ayuntamiento de Battle y albergó un tribunal militar durante las guerras napoleónicas.

Las habitaciones, refomadas recientemente, disponen de baño privado, TV y set de té/café. La suite también incluye una bañera de hidromasaje.

El establecimiento es muy popular para la celebración de bodas, así como para realizar excursiones y visitas, ya que se halla a menos de 5 minutos a pie de la pintoresca abadía de Battle. La ciudad de Battle alberga una gran variedad de restaurantes y tiendas, y las localidades costeras de Hastings y Bexhill-on-Sea se encuentran a menos de 20 minutos en coche. La estación de tren de Battle está muy bien comunicada con Londres y proporciona enlaces directos con las estaciones londinenses de Charing Cross y London Bridge.
